WHAT THIS PROGRAMME COVERS
To qualify for a Master of Creative Writing a student must achieve 120 points by successfully completing a thesis. Students work with the Programme Leader and a supervisory team to design and develop a thesis which is based around a novel, collection of short stories, or other appropriate genre.
The programme consists of seminars and workshops staffed by creative writers. Master classes from visiting authors and publishers will explore the dynamics of the creative process and the techniques of producing work to a publishable standard. These activities will develop and nurture student writing skills and literary imagination.
The exegesis will be supervised by staff with relevant academic skills in the areas of cultural, media and literary theory.
