The PhD is a thesis-based research degree that is granted on the basis of an original and substantial contribution to knowledge. The School of Languages and Social Sciences encourages and supports innovative interdisciplinary research. The School offers PhD candidates the opportunity to work collaboratively with a cohort of staff who are active researchers and practitioners to provide a unique interdisciplinary level of engagement and mentorship in their chosen areas of research study.
