ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- NCEA: 48 Level 2 credits including 8 Level 1 credits in a language rich subject or ESOL Level 3 credits in Reading and Writing or pass in placement test.

This Diploma is designed for those students with English as an additional language and for others who want to take their academic English studies to a higher and more critical level. Students graduating with the Diploma in English Language will not only receive a highly regarded qualification from AUT, New Zealand’s leading provider of English language programmes, but they will have acquired the linguistic, cultural and academic knowledge necessary for successful study at degree level. This is due to the unique structure of the Diploma, which includes a number of degree level papers that can also be cross credited to AUT’s Bachelor of Arts – English Studies
