ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Open Entry or completion of Year 11.
  • For students with a language background other than English, interview may be required.

 

The Certificate in English Language is for students who have, or want to have, English as an additional language. It is designed to improve the English of new migrants. It helps them to improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing so that they can study at university, get jobs, start businesses or take part in community life. There is a special Academic English stream at 2 levels to help prepare students for the Certificate in English for Academic Study and/or mainstream university courses. Students can enter and exit the programme at a number of levels.
