ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • 48 NCEA Level 2 credits including 8 Level 2 credits in a language rich subject
  • CIE: Total 60 points in UCAS including a language rich subject
  • 14 of the 48 credits must be in Mathematics which can be at Level 1 or higher

 

The Diploma in Information Technology (IT) is relevant to students interested in joining the IT industry in a computing and network support role. It focuses on IT technical support and culminates with a ‘real world’ project in the final semester.

Year One
The first year of study introduces the practical skills and knowledge relevant to Information Technology.

Year Two

  • Logical Database Design

All students complete a team project that is industry based.

 

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Students complete 180 points of core papers and choose four 15 point elective papers. These are selected from the Diploma in Information Technology or the Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences, or relevant Level 5 or 6 papers from any AUT programme of study.
